Mission
In the frame of an EU tender, Tipik asked us to develop a powerful creative concept for an event aiming at gathering key stakeholder to work together for a greener and more coordinated European Airspace.
Challenges
We wanted to develop a unique visual identity that differs from usual institutional-type initiatives. We wanted to avoid clichés on sustainability and traps of visual greenwashing (you know, the stock image of a young seed growing in a pair of hands full of soil). Indeed, the thematic and objectives are positive, but the realism of the approach is uncertain. So let’s not pretend we’ll solve climate crisis. At best, we could limit the impact of one of the most polluting sector.
Solution
In our premilinary reflections, we identified the effect known as “murmuration” as the most natural and coordinated act happening in the air.
Imagine thousands of birds, flying together at short distance, moving in an instictive way, without any accident, in order to defeat together a predator.
We explored this direction and thought this might be beautifully translated into a visual identity. We attached it an edgy typography, and a modern set of colors, and « Tadaaam ! » we ended us with a impactful and versatile visual identity.
Then, we organise the content into a modern and very fluid event website.
For the sake of the case study, we produced a wide range of assets, including a live only mockup of what the website could look like.
